Keep this in mind
Recent industry salary surveys indicate that Event Professionals in the United States earn average annual salaries between approximately US$63,000 and US$132,000, depending on experience level, sector and leadership responsibility. Senior executives and specialist consultants frequently exceed these figures substantially.
Event Management is no longer simply a support role, it is a recognised professional career pathway within the global experience economy.
In professional event project environments, even modest improvements in planning, procurement, budgeting, negotiation, logistics, risk management and operational efficiency can generate significant financial savings and performance improvements.
Within Event Management, improved competence can help professionals:
• avoid costly mistakes
• negotiate more effectively
• improve supplier management
• strengthen budgeting accuracy
• reduce operational inefficiencies
• improve stakeholder coordination
• minimise risk exposure
• enhance attendee satisfaction
• deliver stronger event outcomes
In many cases, the value gained through increased efficiency, improved decision-making and reduced operational waste on a single event project may exceed 10 times the original investment in professional training.
Relatively small professional development investments, compared to the budget of a single event, can generate substantial event project value.
Educational research consistently demonstrates that blended learning approaches, combining structured content, live interaction, peer engagement, reflection and practical application — are associated with stronger long-term knowledge retention than passive learning methods alone.
The EAPoEMiP 6-Month Online Blended Learning Experience incorporates approximately 156 structured learning touchpoints, including:
• expert presentations
• faculty engagement
• peer exchange
• assignments
• reflections
• quizzes
• group collaboration
• practical application exercises
This integrated learning methodology is intentionally designed to reinforce engagement, strengthen competence development and improve long-term retention and practical application of knowledge.
Learning is not about exposure to information only, it is about meaningful engagement, reinforcement and practical application over time.
From across Africa and Europe, this is what some course participants had to say
EAPoEMiP has been highly transformative and educational. It is clear to me that in order to stay on top of your "administration" that is required to ensure the event is successful on all levels. This is where the "professional" aspect comes to life in the "event professional" moniker - the real work comes in the form of internal communications, team structures and task delegation, workflows, budgets and matrix's.”
“EAPoEMiP opened my eyes to what it truly means to be an event professional. I now understand the deeper layers and the science behind every decision. It completely changed structured and strategic. I no longer waste time on unnecessary steps. The sequencing and frameworks completely changed how I work. The risk matrix changed how I approach events. I now identify risks upfront and plan mitigations confidently. It has made my events safer and more predictable”
“I would highly recommend EAPoEMiP to any aspiring or event professional because of my strong belief in the value of this learning experience. By participating in this program, you will not only gain valuable knowledge and skills but also become a more intentional and thoughtful event professional. The comprehensive curriculum, experienced instructors, and practical hands-on activities will help you develop a deeper understanding of the events industry and enhance your capabilities to plan and execute successful events. This program will provide you with the tools and insights needed to excel in the field and make a meaningful impact in professionalising the events industry.”
“This program embodies the perfect blend of art and science. I now see events as structured systems rather than chaotic tasks. It brought clarity I didn’t even know I needed.”
“This program transformed my mind-set from reactive to proactive. I now approach challenges with structure, confidence and proper frameworks instead of relying on instinct alone. The expert interviews delivered the highest value. Hearing global perspectives made the industry come alive and deepened my learning. I now understand the event ecosystem, the policies, stakeholders, dependencies, and unseen work behind success. It has fundamentally reshaped how I see the industry.”
“If events are the cake, then this program provides all the ingredients. I applied the tools immediately and saw a difference in the way I plan, think, and communicate. The templates, the workbook, the examples, all practical and immediately useful. I still refer to them when structuring new events.
“I entered the program uncertain about the full event management system. I am leaving confident, informed, and capable of defending my decisions as a professional. My communication with clients and suppliers has greatly improved. I now speak confidently from a place of knowledge and authority.”
“The EAPoEMiP program will raise you knowledge, confidence and level of professionalism in the events space. It is sometimes challenging to balance work, life, and the program but it is so very worth it because so much wisdom is shared over the space of just a few months. The skills that are developed from taking this program are priceless and so essential to success for events professionals.”
“The value of this program is exceptional. The tools alone are worth the investment, and the expert insights were unmatched.”
“EAPoEMiP has taught me that to be an event professional is about paying attention to little details, that's what makes a difference.”
“Through this program, I have learned that event coordination is so much more. It calls for strategic thinking, cultural sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to stay calm and confident under pressure. I now understand that the role blends diplomacy, protocol, people management, and problem-solving in a way I never fully appreciated. It is a far more dynamic, demanding, and meaningful profession than I ever imagined.”
“If you want to elevate your event career, this program is unmatched. It doesn’t just teach, it shapes world-class professionals.”
“The program doesn’t just teach you new concepts, it reshapes your mind-set. It helps you move from simply coordinating activities to designing events that are strategic, evidence-based, and aligned with clear outcomes. Got for it!”
“The EAPoEMiP course is a great learning experience for candidates who want to enter the event industry, but also very helpful and insightful for event professionals who have been in the industry for years. It's a wonderful reminder and refresh of the event eco-system and the role we as event professionals play in the industry. The course takes you on a journey through key modules that will strengthen your strategic thinking and enhance your effectiveness as an events professional.”
“I would highly recommend EAPoEMiP to anyone interested in event management because it proves that it is never too late to improve your knowledge. EAPoEMiP provides both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The course prepares you for real-world event planning by focusing on structure, professionalism, and attention to detail. It also builds confidence in managing events from start to finish. Whether you are new to the industry or already have experience, the course helps you think more strategically and improve the quality of your work.”
“It is a course that goes beyond the basic planning and logistics of an event. Besides the excellent theory presented, the course is also practical and relevant as one can apply what is learnt in day-to-day work, giving a more structured, professional approach to event management.”
“I would highly recommend EAPoEMiP to any aspiring or current event professional who wants to grow beyond just executing events. The course gives you a deeper understanding of event management as a structured and strategic process, especially in terms of planning, coordination, and professionalism. It equips you with practical tools and real-world insights that you can immediately apply in your work. Overall, it helps you become more confident, organised, and intentional in how you plan and deliver events.”
“This course changed me. I learned so much from every module and my knowledge grew immensely. I feel more confident in myself as an event organiser. I actually gained a lot of confidence by attending the contact sessions and engaging with my teammates. And I feel like my personality grew. This course teaches you not only knowledge of event management but also how to apply time management and work under pressure with the course work and your personal life.”
“I would highly recommend EAPoEMiP because it goes beyond basic event planning and teaches you how to think strategically, manage risks, and create meaningful event experiences. It’s very practical and helps you apply what you learn directly in real work situations.”
“The beauty of this course is that it takes your experience in the industry, regardless of how much that is, and builds on it. Having been in event management for over 10 years I thought I knew everything I needed to in order to do my job well but this course has shown me that there is still so much I needed to learn in order to take my career to the next level.”
“In 2025 when we were organizing the Tshwane Tourism Awards, we had no Event Resource Guide. No time frames, nothing, not even a budget. We mostly handled things as they come and there were a lot of things we missed in the process, resulting in us running around the day of the event. This year I've developed one, from the date to the thank you letters to sponsors, time frames and I must say I'm at ease.”
“If you want to be the best, it’s the right course with great support to make you the best in what you do.”
“I would recommend EAPoEMiP to anyone who wants to challenge their thinking and move beyond a traditional, exam-focused approach to learning. The course creates a different kind of learning environment where you are required to engage, apply, and think critically rather than just study theory. Working within a cohort added real value, as it exposed me to different ways of thinking, planning, and approaching the same problem. What stood out for me is that the course shows there is no single “correct” way to design an event. Instead, it encourages you to question your decisions, adapt to context, and design with intention. This made the learning feel more realistic and relevant, especially for someone looking to apply it in practice.”
“I have learned that event coordination is so much more. It calls for strategic thinking, cultural sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to stay calm and confident under pressure.”
